Happy Construction Season

in Newsletter

With the summer months approaching, the season of construction does as well.  Starting this spring MnDOT will be starting the Highway 14/15 New Ulm Gateway project.  This project includes a bridge interchange at the “Y” intersection of Highway 14/15 and CR 21, a round-about at Highway 14 and Front Street, and reconstruction of Highway 14 between Broadway and Front Street. While the improvement are taking place the bridges will be closed for two years. This project is projected to begin April 5th of this year.

SouthPoint members using the German St. branch will experience periodic closure of the German Street and 7th North intersection. During those times, members will need to use the 8th North Street access point. The reconstruction of 7th North Street between Broadway and German Street should take approximately 90 construction days.

One of the benefits to being a member of SouthPoint is that we offer a wide variety of options to access your account without having to visit our locations’.  We upgraded our online banking platform in 2017 to provide 24/7 access to your accounts. From the online banking platform you can check your balances, transfer funds and pay your bills all at the touch of a button!

We also provided our members an enhanced mobile banking option that allows our members to view your accounts, as well as DEPOSIT checks via your mobile phone.  This option was a major priority for the credit union so that we could provide our members with the highest level of convenience.

We appreciate your patience getting to our New Ulm branch with the construction. In the meantime, if you haven’t already, go out and download our Mobile App to access your accounts and get familiar with what you can do with the app. Stop in anytime and we will be happy to help!

Happy Construction Season!
