SouthPoint participating in statewide day of kindness

in Newsletter

On Monday, Oct. 14, SouthPoint Financial will be closed, joining more than 50 other Minnesota credit unions spreading kindness by participating in volunteer activities that will benefit the communities they serve for CU Forward Day. In 2018, CU Forward Day impacted more than 335,000 Minnesotans.

What SouthPoint is doing

Staff members from SouthPoint will spend the day making fleece tie blankets that will be donated to adults and children that can use extra comfort in Sleepy Eye, Springfield, New Ulm, St. Peter, North Mankato, Hutchinson and Waconia. Additional groups of staff will also be sorting and packing food for three children’s weekend food backpack program initiatives in Brown, McCleod and Nicollet counties.

CU Forward Day is coordinated by the Minnesota Credit Union Network, the state trade association for Minnesota’s credit unions.
