A message from our CEO, Dick Nesvold

It is a bittersweet time for me as I write this as it will be my last. For the past 30 years I have had the opportunity to be a part of SouthPoint; 20 some as the CEO. Over these years there have been changes focused on the success of this financial cooperative to provide value to you, our member/owners. Its very existence is for the benefit of its members and communities, and because of your continued loyalty, SouthPoint has achieved great success.

I previously announced my retirement. It is with great appreciation and has been an honor to be able to lead this great organization. It humbles me to see what the support of the Board of Directors, the staff, and you, the member, can accomplish with the focus on “people helping people.” From the storefront office at 105 E. Main, Sleepy Eye, to seven branches with more than 23,000 members, it is astounding. Along with membership growth and branches the changes in products and services and their utilization of them has been remarkable. It’s been quite a ride!!!!

So much for the past, as always, we need to look forward. Jay Gostonczik has been chosen by the Board as the new CEO. It is my privilege to turn over the leadership to him as he will enhance the mission of SouthPoint and benefits to you, the member.

Again thank you!!
