SouthPoint Financial Credit Union Raised $15,845.20 for Gillette Children’s Specialty Hospital through Chain of Hearts Campaign

Sleepy Eye, MN – April 25, 2017– SouthPoint Financial Credit Union raised more than $10,000 from January 9, 2017 – February 28, 2017 for Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare through their Chain of Hearts Campaign, a fundraiser coordinated by the Minnesota Credit Unions for Kids program. The campaign raised money through the sale of paper links and hearts, which were personalized and linked together to form a chain displayed in each branch office. Through the generosity of CO-OP Financial Services, the money raised received another $5,000 as part of their Miracle Match program to achieve a total donation in excess of $15,000.

SouthPoint Financial Credit Union’s Chain of Hearts is part of a statewide fundraising effort. Through this fundraiser, Credit Union for Kids, a sponsor program of the Children’s Miracle Network.

Credit Unions for Kids is a collaboration of credit unions, chapters, leagues and business partners engaged in fundraising activities to benefit Children’s Miracle Network-affiliate hospitals. All money raised through Minnesota’s Credit Unions for Kids (MnCU4Kids) program supports Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare, helping kids with disabilities and chronic conditions. Gillette is based in St. Paul, with clinics located around the state. Credit Unions for Kids is a national program.
