(Sleepy Eye, MN – April 6, 2026) – SouthPoint Financial Credit Union is proud to announce a new naming rights partnership with the City of New Ulm. Under the agreement, the facility will be renamed to SouthPoint Recreation & Wellness Center, along with new exterior and interior signage, and brand integration appearing across city promotional channels and digital assets. This exciting collaboration reflects SouthPoint’s ongoing commitment to investing in the well-being, growth, and vibrancy of the communities it serves.
As a cornerstone of activity for New Ulm residents, the recreation center is a hub for fitness, family fun, youth programming, and community connection. Through this partnership, SouthPoint Financial Credit Union aims to further enhance access to healthy, enriching experiences for individuals and families.
In celebration of the new partnership, SouthPoint members will receive exclusive savings on facility memberships. A 10% discount on a regularly-priced three-month facility membership and a 15% discount on a regularly-priced annual facility membership to both current and new facility members upon providing proof of membership at SouthPoint Financial Credit Union, making it even easier and more affordable to stay active and connected year-round. This discount became active on April 1, 2026.
“At SouthPoint, we believe strong communities are built when people have places to gather, grow, and thrive together,” said Jay Gostonczik, CEO of SouthPoint Financial Credit Union. “The New Ulm Recreation Center has long been a vital community space, and we’re thrilled to support it in a meaningful, lasting way. This partnership isn’t just about a name — it’s about showing up for our members, our neighbors, and the future of New Ulm.”
“We’re especially excited to offer our members a discount as part of this partnership,” Gostonczik added. “It’s one more way we can give back and help our members live healthier, more connected lives.”
City leaders also expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, noting the shared values of community investment, accessibility, and long-term impact.
SouthPoint Recreation & Wellness Center will continue to provide high-quality programs and facilities for residents of all ages, while benefitting from enhanced visibility, support, and community collaboration made possible through this partnership.
