The minimum balance to open a 8-Month certificate, when offered, is $1,000. To obtain the 4.850% APY your total deposit (100%) must be comprised of new money (not previously on deposit with SouthPoint Financial Credit Union). If any portion of your initial certificate of deposit is currently on deposit with SouthPoint Financial Credit Union you will receive a rate of 4.750% APY on your new 8-Month Certificate. Certificate rate remains fixed for the term of the certificate. A penalty may be imposed for withdrawals before maturity of Certificate. Limit of $1,000,000 deposited per household. The 8-Month Certificate promotion will roll into a 6-Month Certificate at maturity.
