SouthPoint Financial Credit Union Expands Field of Membership in MN

(Sleepy Eye, MN – January 29, 2025) – SouthPoint Financial Credit Union has expanded its field of membership in Minnesota to include seven additional counties, increasing its current 23-county base to a total of 30 counties.

Financial services provided by SouthPoint will now be available to residents who live, work, or attend school—as well as businesses located in—Chippewa, Dakota, Goodhue, Lac qui Parle, Sherburne, Stearns, and Yellow Medicine counties in Minnesota. Immediate family members of these residents are also eligible for SouthPoint membership, regardless of where they live. This expansion was approved by Minnesota’s Department of Commerce and SouthPoint’s Board of Directors in January 2025. By broadening its field of membership, SouthPoint aims to extend its geographic reach and provide an additional financial services option for residents in these communities.

SouthPoint now serves 30 counties in Minnesota, including Blue Earth, Brown, Carver, Chippewa, Cottonwood, Dakota, Faribault, Freeborn, Goodhue, Kandiyohi, Lac qui Parle, Le Sueur, Lyon, Martin, McLeod, Meeker, Murray, Nicollet, Redwood, Renville, Rice, Scott, Sherburne, Sibley, Stearns, Steele, Waseca, Watonwan, Wright, and Yellow Medicine.
