SouthPoint Financial to bring services to Hutchinson

(Sleepy Eye, MN – January 5, 2017) – SouthPoint Financial Credit Union, one of southern Minnesota’s leading financial institutions, will be opening a new branch location in Hutchinson in the fall of 2017.  Located at 1250 Highway 15 South, this will be the sixth full service location for SouthPoint Financial.

This newest branch will provide transaction services, checking, money market and certificate accounts, auto and home loans, business services and alternative investment opportunities for consumers and small businesses. The branch will also feature a drive-thru with ATM and a night depository.  The drive thru ATM will available for use in January.

The $300 million credit union, headquartered in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, has more than 15,000 members and is the 15th largest credit union in the State.  Unlike a bank, SouthPoint is a not-for-profit cooperative financial institution. Credit unions allow individuals to join and become member-owners. It is this unique distinction, setting apart credit unions from other financial institutions that could be stockholder-controlled.

“Today, the need for consumers and businesses to have choices for their financial products and services is great. They also want these delivered in ways relevant to their lifestyle.” says Dick Nesvold, CEO. “Our members have built a strong cooperative, this new location will create value for existing and future members.”

SouthPoint Financial Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative that distributes profits among members in the form of lower loan rates, fewer and lower fees and higher savings rates. Membership is open to all residents and businesses in a 17-county area of southern Minnesota. For additional information visit southpointfinancial.com or call 877-794-6712.
