VideoConnect FAQ's

VideoConnect allows you to chat face-to-face with a SouthPoint Video Agent using your smartphone, tablet or computer’s camera. You can use it from wherever you are.

Our Video Agents are available 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays.

Everything you can do in a branch, you can do with VideoConnect, except make deposits or withdrawals. VideoConnect can help you with:

  • Account maintenance
  • Applying for a new account
  • Applying for a loan
  • Fraud inquiries
  • Checking loan application status
  • Checking account balances
  • Transferring money between accounts
  • Screen sharing

Mobile Banking (first-time user):
Apple user:

  • Through your SouthPoint Mobile Banking app, click on “More” and scroll down to select “VideoConnect.” To begin a session, select “Open VideoConnect” and follow the prompts to download the app.
  • Go back into Mobile Banking and click on the red “Open VideoConnect app.” You will be automatically connected.
  • Agree to the Terms and Conditions and hit “Next.”
  • Select “Click here to start a video call.”
  • Choose which team you would to connect with and hit call.
  • When prompted with “SouthPoint VideoConnect would like to access the camera” hit OK. You will have the option to mute your camera and audio.
  • The next time you use SouthPoint VideoConnect, simply sign on to the Mobile Banking app and click on “More,” scroll to “VideoConnect” and select “Open VideoConnect,” or open the app directly from your phone.

Android user:

  • Open your Google Play store and download “SouthPoint VideoConnect.”
  • Open your app and put in your name and email.
  • Agree to the Terms and Conditions and hit “Next.”
  • Select “Click here to start a video call.”
  • Choose which team you would like to connect with and hit call.
  • When prompted with “SouthPoint VideoConnect would like to access the camera” hit OK. You will have the option to mute your camera and audio.
  • The next time you would like to use VideoConnect, search your apps for “VideoConnect” and you can begin your call.

Using the web link:

  • Go to
  • Select your audio and video preferences and hit “Next.”
  • Choose which team you would like to connect with and hit “Start Video.”
  • If you want to share your screen with a Video Agent, have them request to Co-Browse and select “Install Extension.”
  • You will have the option to mute your camera and audio.
  • To end the call, click on the red phone.

Please use Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari and Microsoft Edge. Internet Explorer is not supported by VideoConnect. Please note that mobile browsers are not supported. To get the best experience, please download “SouthPoint VideoConnect” in your phone’s app store.

Sweepstakes begins on June 25, 2019; Closing date of this Sweepstakes is July 31, 2019; all entries must be received by SouthPoint Financial Credit Union by 6:30 p.m. on the closing date of the contest. Each entry has an equal chance to win. You may enter by mail by hand-printing your full name, address (including city, state and zip code), e-mail address (if you have one), phone number on a 3×5 card and mail to, SouthPoint Financial Credit Union, Attn: VideoConnect sweepstakes, PO Box 406, Sleepy Eye, MN 56085. Limit one 3×5 card entry per person per day. Entries received from persons residing in geographic areas in which entry is not permissible will be disqualified. SouthPoint Financial Credit Union is not responsible for lost, late, non-delivered or misdirected mail.

One (1) total prize will be awarded at the end of the contest period. The prize may not be exchanged for cash. Winner is selected in a random drawing on or after August 15, 2019. Approximate numerical odds of winning are dependent upon number of entries. Sweepstakes open to legal residents of the United States, its territories and possessions.
