What if I send money through Zelle to the wrong phone number or email?

It’s always a good idea to double-check your contact information before sending a payment with Zelle. If you send money to the wrong token:

  • As long as the recipient has not yet claimed the money, you can cancel the payment.
  • If the recipient has already accepted the payment, contact your financial institution (but the funds may be unrecoverable).
